Note: This was a tutorial I wrote for James Dillard’s graduate seminar on meta-analysis (2022 & 2024). The tutorial demonstrates the very basic implementation of psychometric meta-analysis with (a) barebones results and individual correction of measurement error, (b) simple moderations, (c) extraction of heterogeneity statistics, and (d) creation of forest and funnel plots. The psychmeta package is capable of a lot more; there are also alternative packages available for different approaches to and tasks related to meta-analysis.
